Friction materials are classified into organic friction materials, metallic sintered friction materials, and carbon composite friction materials. Among them, sintered friction material is produced using various types of metal powder and non-metal powder. The biggest advantage of sintered friction materials is stable friction properties from room temperature to high temperatures of over 700℃ and superior properties over other friction materials even in the presence of moisture.
