Dawin Friction participated in the 2023 ADEX (defense and aviation exhibition) and achieved the result of consulting with many customers.
ADEX was an exhibition period at Seoul Airport (Seongnam Airfield) from October 17 to October 22, 2023, and Dawin Friction exhibited in three exhibition halls.
At the Incheon City General Exhibition Hall, Dawin Friction and 10 aircraft companies within Incheon City jointly exhibited, and Dawin Friction exhibited aircraft wheels and brake products.
The wheels of the LAH (attack helicopter) supplied to KAI, the brake assembly supplied to the US Bell 525, and the electric brake of the military unmanned aerial vehicle were exhibited.
A landing gear system development contract signing ceremony was held on the morning of October 18 at the Supernal (Hyundai Motors America) exhibition hall located across from the Incheon City exhibition hall.
The signing ceremony was attended by Jaewon Shin, President of Hyundai Motor Company, CEO of Hyundai Wia, and CEO Michael of the landing gear company.
Dawin Friction participated in Supernal's supply chain and, as a partner of Hyundai Wia, held consultations with executives and engineers of Supernal/Michael/Hyundai Wia during the exhibition.
In addition, aircraft brake discs and brake pads developed by Dawin Friction were displayed at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's RND exhibition hall and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's convergence RND exhibition hall.
Dawin Friction has exhibited at the global air shows Paris and Farnborough Air Shows five times in a row, and is also consistently exhibiting at ADEX and pursuing consultations with customers.
Domestically, we are developing wheels and brakes for Surion and LAH and supplying them to KAI. We are also exporting them overseas to Bell in the US, Leonardo in Italy, and Turkish Airlines. In the future, we will supply wheels and brakes to global UAM companies, starting with Supernal. We plan to take advantage of the ADEX exhibition to get opportunities.
