The Ministry of Science and ICT is operating the IR52 Jang Young-sil Award system along with Maeil Business, and plans to establish the IR52 Jang Young-sil Award Hall of Fame in October 2022 to honor the honor of the winners and inspire the desire for technological innovation in the industry.
Of the total 6,300 recipients so far, a small number of people who have contributed significantly to the development of Korea's industrial technology will be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and 37 finalists were selected after strict screening.
CEO Cho Jeong-hwan was honored to be selected as one of the 37 members.
During his time at Daewoo Heavy Industries, CEO Cho received two Jang Young-sil awards for developing hydraulic parts and engine parts, and received the Daewoo Heavy Industries Materials Technology Team (Team Leader Jo Jeong-hwan) for the Daewoo Heavy Industries & Construction's Jeongjingi Technology "Grand Prize".
