The 2022 "Korean Railroad Society" Spring Conference was held from April 21 to 22, 2022.
At the special session of this conference, a discussion on the localization technology development strategy for high-speed rail parts (brake pad, shoe, reducer, balancer) was held under the supervision of the KORAIL Research Group.
After the announcement of the development contents currently being carried out as an R&D task by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, railroad experts (Transportation University, Railway Research Institute, Hanbat National University, KTL, Dawin Friction, Yujin Machinery, etc.) participated as a panel to discuss ways to put the developed parts to practical use.
Most railway experts recommended a method to increase the purchasing possibility of public institutions by acquiring NEP certification, EPC certification, development selection product certification, etc. for supply to public institutions.
In addition, KORAIL created a research group exhibition booth and exhibited prototype products (KTX_Sancheon brake pad, brake shoes, reducer gears, etc.) The head of SR Technology Headquarters and the head of Roteco's Inspection Headquarters participated in the KORAIL/Dawin Friction exhibition booth and expressed their interest in the progress of pad development.
Once the development is complete, the development team of Dawin Friction Co., Ltd. is doing its best to supply it to KTX_Sancheon vehicles.
