On November 3, 2021, CEO Jo Jeong-hwan of Dawin Friction Co., Ltd. and CEO Tony Wiederker of AeroMech (FAA-ODA) signed a memorandum of understanding on brake pad development cooperation.
Despite the difficult time to move due to COVID-19, Tony and his party visited Korea in person to sign this MOU.
Dawin Friction Co., Ltd. is the only Metal Brake developer and manufacturer in Korea, and AeroMech in the U.S. is an ODA that has been partially certified by the FAA.
I have no doubt that if we combine the strengths of both companies and cooperate, we will achieve a win-win result.
In December of this year, we plan to conduct a dynamo test of Dawin's development in the United States.
As it is a large-scale project that simultaneously develops and certifies civil aircraft brakes for the first time in Korea, the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Incheon City are providing support in various forms.
Therefore, from now on, we will strive to shorten the development schedule by accelerating the development and certification of brake pads through genuine cooperation between the two companies.
