On April 8, 2021 (Thursday), the Incheon City Aviation Department chief and the Incheon Industry-University Convergence Institute deputy director visited Dawin Friction Co., Ltd.
Dawin Friction Co., Ltd. gave a general briefing on the ongoing aviation business, in particular, explained in detail the "development and certification of civil aircraft brakes" that was recently developed, and visited the aircraft brake manufacturing line and test line.
The manager of the Aviation Department of
Incheon City is glad that there is a manufacturer in Incheon that has been
concentrating on one field for a long time like Dawin Friction Co., Ltd., and
requested that we succeed in developing civil aircraft brakes based on the
active support of Incheon City and the Convergence Institute.
Jo Jeong-hwan, CEO of Dawin Friction Co., Ltd., has a lot of experience in developing brakes for military aircraft such as the F-5/Surion, but the challenge to develop brakes for civil aircraft is the first in Korea.
